About The African Star

The African Star is uniquely one of its kind; for young, sexy, energetic, affluent Africans in the United States and the diaspora.

It is not about the often overly expressed Political issues, not about advocacy on problems facing Africans in Africa or in the United States nor about entertainment but it’s  includes all of the above. It is a magazine solely for an African person living in United States who needs their presence acknowledge, who wants to live in America as an African enjoying the music, art and culture of the motherland.
Editorial: It has no boundaries and it has no religious creed to adhere to; just a reflection of the life, culture, art, fashion, sex and education in the African certain.  The African passion and curiosity about life and what makes us happy as people is our goal. In this regard, we have no limitation just where the minds of our young editors can take us. Lastly, it is an escape from the often stressful life of industrious America. Our mission is to entertain.
Readership: The African Star is uniquely multipurpose within a range. It is directed toward young and middle age  Africans ages 18-45, from a very hard working  college student to a prosperous and successful African living the American dream.  While other magazines seek to impress people with extra ordinary grammatical standard, we write for a person who lives for themselves; dress the way they want to, move where they want to move and see who they want to see. We take particular interest in young African women, their fashion, beauty and sensibility and seek to address issue of their concern and interest.
Circulation: Our rate base presently in the print version is about 25,000 Africans living mostly in the tri-states area which include New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Recently, we extended our circulation to another strategic and promising African Community in the State of Minnesota and we are further moving toward North Carolina and Georgia where there is an increasing African Community with healthy income. The African Star believes in continues growth in circulation and relies on juicy and mind provocative editorial which turn readers to subscribers.
