Nkem Owoh Explains Six days ordeal as
Hostage
African mega Actor, NKem Owoh has
started reveling shocking details about
his six days captivity by gunmen in
Nigeria.
Speaking to an African Star special
reporter shortly after he was freed by
his captor, Osuofia said he was kept in
a dark room and given little or no food
at all to eat. "It was a nightmare but
I'm glad to be with my family once again
and breathing this fresh air."
He continues, "shortly after i was
kidnapped, the robber put a black cloth
on my head and told me what to say in
case we came across the police"
"I was slapped, kicked and insulted
by the robbers" he said.
They also violently threatened to
kill him if he doesn't provide a ransom
of N1.4m. "I couldn't understand why
they wouldn't just leave me so i could
give the money but they kept torturing
me day and night. It was hell."
In all Nkem said he lost two shirt, a
Seko Watch he bought for $2500, and his
2009 Mercedes Benz alone with a brief
case with an undisclosed amount to the
gun men.
The actor was seized by gun men on
the Port Harcout-Enugu Expressway while
on a business trip to Enugu.
It can be recalled that another
Nollywood Actor, Pete Edochie, was
kidnapped by arm men this year and a
ransom was paid before he was released.
Mr. Edochie bushy facial hair that he
loved the most was shaved completely but
there was no report of torture. Since
then, he has kept himself in low profile
until he can grow those hair, our report
established.
