Nadia Buari’s Boyfriend Michael Essien, is in court to because he wants restraining order on, Ms Dela Ackumey, his former girlfriend who is claiming to be his lawful wife.

Ms. Ackumey said she and Essien had a traditional wedding three years ago before they broke up. As such Micheal has no right to marry another woman while their marriage is still tie.  To prove her case, a video cassette assumes to contain the wedding ceremony of the traditional wedding with relatives is in the possession of her lawyers.

“I am the lawful wife of Michael Essien. If he lying to any other woman, they better think again because Michael is my husband to the end.” Ms. Ackumey was quoted as saying to the Guardian Newspaper in Ghana.

The defendant, Ms Ackumey, meanwhile has stated that she has video evidence to prove that the Chelsea ace indeed performed the marriage rites in the presence of her relatives

It would be recalled that Dela Ackumey, about two years ago, told News of the World, a British tabloid, that Michael Essien cheated on her several times but she forgave him.

They however later split according to her story because she could no longer stand his roving eyes and lies and therefore called it quits.

The player is now dating Nadia Buari, a Ghanaian actress and daughter of Sidiku Buari, ace musician and former president of the Musicians Union of Ghana. Nadia on several occasions has gone public on her relation with Essien. However, their relationship turned sour two years ago when she was caught sharing a hotel room with Ghana’s actor Van Vicker during an Academic award in New York. Are they dating?.  

Michael has allegedly proposed to Nadia and wants the issue of his alleged marriage to Dela Ackumey put behind him so that he can move on with his life but it is not happening anytime soon as the court battle rages on.

With this new drama surfacing couple with Essien’s other baby mama trouble with a child he had with another woman; fans don’t know if Nadia will change her mind about the plan wedding to Essien.
