Nkem Owoh,
the popular
African
actor in
movies such
as Osuofio
in London and
Ukwa is
allegedly
linked to a
black money
dedeba,
according to
a Lagos
Police
sources. “If
convicted
the actor
could spend
up to thirty
years in
prison and
thousands of
dollars in
fines for
monies he
alone with
other
fraudsters
took from
foreign
investors.
Here
is the real
story about
the 419
operation
even the
no-nonsense
Nigeria
Interpol
couldn’t
detect for
several
years. The
theme of it
was, “I go
chop your
dollar”.
Just as
tobacco
companies
write
“smoking is
bad for your
health”.
Owoh sang
songs
warning
people about
the black
money deals
but at the
same time
striking
million of
dollars in
the criminal
cartel.
So it is
with Nkem
Owoh. He is
no fool. An
engineer by
training, he
is an actor
because he
knows that
people will
listen to
him. Since
he is also
intoxicatingly
charming,
Ukwa knows
he can get
people to
follow him.
The B.M.
(Black
Money) boys
in Lagos
cooked up
the 419.
Interpol was
hot on the
heels of the
419 boys.
Overnight
they left
London and
drove to
Germany. The
plan was to
move the
operation
from Europe
into Africa
before the
International
Police
knocked them
down.
However,
they could
not travel
with large
amount of
cash
especially
if the
F.B.I. was
involved.
In Europe,
The Boys
bought
expensive
cars, (BMW,
Porches,
Ferrari,
Alfa Romero,
and Rolls
Royce) and
shaped them
to Port
Harcourt in
Nigeria.
In
the seats of
the cars
were stored
all the cash
and drugs
that the 419
needed to
begin
operation in
Lagos.
A deal was crossed with the Port of Accra and the seats of the cars removed. The seats were then put on trailers and the long journey to Lagos began.
According to a one year investigation document not yet available to public that lead to indictment of the movie star, Ukwa was contacted to create a situation where the police will not concentrate on the activities of the 419. Ukwa being brilliant wrote “I Chop Your Dollar”. The entire world focused upon the song. Even BBC carried it for days. Just like the cigarettes company used “smoking is…..health”, Ukwa’s song was just a tactic that enabled the 419 to complete operations.
Ukwa’s pay was he was given the rights to order the cars seats into Nigeria. This is how it went down. The cars arrived and were sold without seats. As part of the deal, the buyer purchased the car’s seats from Ukwa. This was the real 419
