Thought-provoking! And yet still fabulous; It’s sweet and sour. If you do not like to watch a movie and finished it in one day, you will love The Most Wanted Bachelor. (Yes, it has a third part)  If you hate bafflement, weak story lines, and twisted plots, you may as well start boycotting other Nigerians movies because this one pitched a clear and clean plot. No, it’s not predictable like the other movies you have being watching. You know exactly what I mean.

Bob, the incredibly handsome and intelligent son of the leader of the nation is the price of a bleeding catfight between three beautiful and manipulating women who will stop at nothing to win his love, lust and wealth. The women competing for his heart are all daughters of the nations, daddy little girls. They are rich, beautiful and bitches, yes they are your dreams girls. The catfight transform into a cat and mouse game of  manipulation, when the three ladies finds that Bob had his eyes on another woman, a woman of no social status. A true Cinderella story…. I think not!  How far will these ladies go to take this eligible bachelor off the market?

One thing I absolutely love about this movie is that there is no annoying, tacky soundtrack, something that is often found in most Nigerian and Ghanaians movies. It put a knife through my heart and make a good movie seems like You Tube video when Directors feel that the name of the movie must be mention in the song, and that the song must play throughout the entire movie.  Luckily for us, The Most Wanted Bachelor played a smooth steady beat in the background, eliminating the extra noise and allowing you to enjoy the movie.

There is a little bit of “over acting “and a lot of no acting. But then again, in most Nigerian and Ghanaians movies, majority of the actors are over dramatic or dead. In one scene, when Brenda (Ini Edo) finds out that her friend have been throttle to death, she whimper, like a little girl who lost her cat. However, the main actor, (Mike Ezuruonye) gives an outstanding performance in this movie. Denzel would be proud. Playing the eye candy and love interest of three beautiful and wealthy bitches…um I mean ladies, he still let his charm and skills do all the work;  now that is what I called great acting.

The opening scene almost slaughters the entire movie. If you saw the first scene, you would’ve first thought it was a suspense thriller instead of a romantic drama. The movie opens with a mystery woman attempt to assassinate the Present after luring him to bed. When she pulled out a knife, the President calls his guards, who then strangled the mystery woman to death. Meanwhile, Brenda, (Ini Edo) walks in on the crime and the rest is death to the movie. I cannot figure out how this scene fit in to a sweet romantic drama like The Most Wanted Bachelor. Let’s be real, he is the leader of the nation and can practically do whomever and whatever he wants. Why would he like a little girl intimidate him?
